Week 1: (2nd day class) Why archaeology? (short)

Week 2: Archaeology in the news (1 page description of some news story related to archaeology)

Week 3: My class paper topic (1-2 pages)

Week 4: My research strategy and sources (1-3 pages)

Week 5: Introduction and background statement for class paper (with references)

Week 6: Modern issue component (with references)

Week 7: Archaeological component (with references)

Week 8: Integration of modern and archaeological components

Week 9: Your paper (The paper will be marked for corrections and suggestions. You have until the final day of class to make changes. If you turn your paper in early, you will have more time.)

All papers will be graded and returned the next class day.
