I am currently a sophomore undergraduate (class of 2009) majoring in archaeology and minoring in international relationships. My fieldwork has included Roman sites in Spain and a summer of excavation at Catalhoyuk in Turkey. My research at Stanford since October 2005 has involved provenance studies of Early Chalcolithic obsidian artefacts from Catalhoyuk and I am continuing this project in association with the Stanford Archaeology Center. My interests also include South African Pleistocene/Holocene transitional archaeology, archaeological ethics, and the impact of excavations on surrounding communities.
