Reflections much shorter than they have been in the past. Short, sweet, and concise.
- Short monologues in the middle of scenes to explain what's going on and the philosophical components of the scene. Each person's reflection is broken up and delivered at different points throughout the
scene.
show.
- Co-written reflection/choral passage that the chorus could deliver at the beginning, end, and other significant moment in the play. So it would be our words spoken through the medium of the chorus.
- Scripted, out of character discussion about the major themes/virtues discussed in the play. Sort of like an extra scene tacked on to the end.
- We start the show out of character, as actors. We put our costumes on, change the set, etc all out of character, as actors, with the purpose of "putting on the show The Birds". Then, in between each scene, we can come out of character, change, etc have reflective discussion about the scenes as we prepare for the next. (Remember the show we saw in Berkeley last summer?)
