(Two people because someone already did Antigone)

Antigone is like….

Neal from DPS because both are very steadfast in their beliefs which leads them both to, essentially, commit suicide. Both are pushed into this by parental situations. Antigone with the death of Oedipus and Neal with his overbearing father.

Flora Poste from Cold Comfort Farm because she arranges situations to her own advantage. The two are both very calculating and maximize the affect of their deeds and actions. Antigone in calculating the affect of burying her brother, Flora in making the Starkadders normal.

Finny from A Separate Peace because both are characters who were created for the purpose of dying, and in doing so change everything around them. Antigone and Finny are those characters who you know are going to die because they burn too fast and too quick. They could survive or make the transition to adulthood without loosing the qualities that make them quintessially them.

Creon is like…

Macbeth because he lets himself get pushed into certain situations by his pride and by the thoughts of others.

Gervais Beaulieu (the father) in C.R.A.Z.Y. because he views the world in very specific ways.

George Smiley in John Le Carre’s novels/Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy because he has to keep his eyes on very many things at once. If that makes sense.
