Spaces for Practica...Antigone:
-Almost eager to die. Denies Ismene the chance saying that she has not earned "the honor"
pg.23: Antigone: I will not permit this penalty to fall on you. No. I never wanted to give you a share.
(As if the death is a gift)
pg.23: Antigone: No, you may not die along with me. Don't say you dit it! You wouldn't even touch it. Now leave my death alone!
Creon:
-Definitely arrogant and doesn't believe in the wisdom of youth
pg.30: Chorus: Sir, you should learn from him, if he is on the mark. And you, Haemon, learn from your father. Both sides spoke well.
Creon: Do you really think, at our age, We should be taught by a boy like him?
-Definitely love for power
pg.33: Creon: A city belongs to its master. Isn't that the rule.
-His thoughts on justice:
pg32.: Haemon: Because I see you going wrong. Because justice matters!
Creon: Is that wrong, showing respect for my job as leader?
THE SPLIT IDENTITY OF THE CHORUS:
pg37: Chorus: But won't you have hymns of praise? So much glory attends you As you pass into the deep place of the dead For you are not wasted by disease, not maimed by a sword. But true to your own laws, you are the only one, Of mortals, who'll go down to Hades whiel still alive
The humanity of the chorus:
pg37: Chorus: Really! Niobe was a god; she had a god for a father. We are mortal, and our fathers pass away. But you--when you die, you will be great, You will be equal in memory to the gods, By the glory of your life and death.
(Jealous? Pressing her forward? Mocking?)
