Haemon (meaning: bloody) is the son of Creon and Eurydice as well as Antigone's fiancee. His loyalty is split between his father and Antigone, so when Creon decides Antigone's fate, he cannot both keep his family ties and support Antigone's wish to honor her brother, and commits suicide after she does.
