Fall 2006 - Spring 2007

Introduction to archaeology [link] is a distance-course that gives a general orientation of the main outlines of world prehistory as well as a brief knowledge of archaeological materials, theories and methods. The course is entirely based in PPBL pedaogy and research based problems and the students collaborate in groups of 4-6 persons via conference-plattforms and various forms of rich-media. The students are living in different parts of Sweden as well as in other parts of Europe and the US.


Fall 2006

Human and machine - IHUM 57 - from Plato to cyborgs - a team taught class from Stanford Humanities Lab and part of the Freshman Program Introduction to the Humanities. This is Stanford's version of a globalist introduction to civilization and human values.

We have reinterpreted this as an opportunity to bridge humanities and sciences in project-based examinations of what it is to be human in a world of digitally enhanced culture.

One of the first pedagogical ventures into a mixed reality 3D online world - Second Life.


Eight great archaeological sites in Europe - ARCHLGY 21Q, CLASSART 21Q - fused media and psychogeography.
